Flipped Learning Primer

Opening schools seems likely to require social distancing. It is unlikely that class loads will be reduced for teachers. The physical classroom will provide a place for face to face (F-2-F) instruction by the teacher. The challenge will be to provide a high-quality learning environment for the students who are not F-2-F with the teacher. Likely this will be half of the students at home at any given time. If the students are at home, flipped learning would seem to be a likely solution.

I have observed a common pattern in the implementation of new programs like the Common Core State Standards and Technology Integration. The professional development provided prior to implementation generally does a good job of informing teachers about the program being implemented.
